Ase or ashe (from Yoruba àṣẹ) is a philosophical concept defined by the Yoruba of Nigeria to represent the power that makes things happen and produces change in the Yoruba tribe.

It is an affirmation and/or agreement, which is said at the end of prayers or hymns. The meaning(s) are namely; 'so be it', 'may it be so' or 'so shall it be'. Similar to 'right on'.
